Recognizing the mutual benefits of combining our very
different assets, the economic development practitioners of the ten Illinois
Counties and principal City of the Chicago metropolitan region have come
together to collaborate for greater regional prosperity.
The Metro Economic Growth Alliance of Chicago (MEGA Chicago) was formed to promote job-creating investment, a business friendly environment, and greater national and international awareness of the mighty economic engine that straddles and connects North America’s Atlantic and Pacific coasts.
Founding members of MEGA Chicago have direct links and ties to business clients and have been given the responsibility to represent the economic interests of individual counties as well as the City of Chicago. By joining forces through a strategic alliance, we speak for the region in a way no one else can.
